Fire Extinguishers

Fire Extinguishers require maintenance on a six monthly basis in accordance with Australian Standard AS1851. Fire Extinguishers every five years also require pressure testing. We will automatically attend sites when due once our services have been activated.

All Fire Equipment serviced are logged on an electronic Inspection Report outlining asset type, location and other relevant information including service completed and any defects identified. This is provided to all clients as part of our service.

HECS FIRE offers complimentary loan units when Fire Extinguishers are removed from site for pressure testing or refilling.

Fire Blankets

Fire Blankets are to be maintained on a six-monthly basis in accordance with Australian Standard AS1851.

All Fire Equipment serviced are logged on an electronic Inspection Report outlining asset type, location and other relevant information including service completed and any defects identified. This is provided to all clients as part of our service.

Fire Hose Reels

Fire Hose Reels require maintenance on a six monthly basis in accordance with Australian Standard AS1851.

All Fire Equipment serviced are logged on an electronic Inspection Report outlining asset type, location and other relevant information including service completed and any defects identified. This is provided to all clients as part of our service.

HECS FIRE can also overhaul centre hubs and valves for Fire Hose Reels that require further attention.

Emergency Exit Lights

Emergency Exit and Evacuation Lighting require testing on a six monthly basis in accordance with Australian Standard AS2293.2.

All assets tested are recorded in a log book either electronically or manually outlining asset type, location and other relevant information including service completed and any defects identified. This is provided to clients as part of our service.

Fire Hydrants & Booster Connections

Fire Hydrants and Booster Connections require maintenance on a six monthly basis in accordance with Australian Standard AS1851.

All Fire Equipment serviced are logged on an electronic Inspection Report outlining asset type, location and other relevant information including service completed and any defects identified. This is provided to all clients as part of our service.

HECS FIRE can also conduct annual flow testing and five yearly overhaul and testing.

Fire Detection Systems

HECS FIRE can provide testing for all types of detection and occupant warning systems. Depending on the specifications and layout, Fire detection alarm systems generally require maintenance on a monthly basis in accordance with Australian Standard AS1851.

All systems maintained are logged in log books which are securely kept onsite which outline relevant information including service completed and any defects identified. This is provided to all clients as part of our service.

HECS FIRE can also carry out stand-alone and hardwired detector testing (recommended to be conducted every six months) and annual battery replacement.

Fire Pump Sets

Depending on the specifications and system layout, Fire Pump Sets generally require maintenance on a monthly basis in accordance with Australian Standard AS1851.

HECS FIRE can also conduct major engine service and flow testing.

Fire Training

HECS FIRE can provide Fire Training including Accredited and Non-accredited Fire Extinguisher Training.

Accredited Fire Extinguisher Training is designed for personnel occupying premises equipped with Fire-Fighting Equipment such as Fire Extinguishers, Fire Blankets and Fire Hose Reels.

The aims of Accredited Fire Extinguisher Training include to prepare participants to have knowledge and confidence in fire emergency response, be able to identify on-site Fire Extinguisher types, operate portable Fire Extinguishers, Fire Blankets and Fire Hose Reels effectively and safely, identify fire hazards in the workplace, improve housekeeping techniques to reduce the risk of fire as well as employ safe working practices.

Information including describing the principles and components of combustion, the colour coding of Fire Extinguishers, the properties of extinguishants, extinguishant /fire compatibility and hands-on use of Fire Extinguishers, Fire Blankets and Fire Hose Reels is included within the training.

Non-accredited Fire Extinguisher Training is designed for personnel occupying premises equipped with Fire-Fighting Equipment such as Fire Extinguishers, Fire Blankets and Fire Hose Reels.

Information including on what fire is will be described; its elements and characteristics. This includes the Fire Tetrahedron, combustion, the classes of fire and methods of extinguishment, the types of fire extinguishers and colour coding, Fire Fighting Agents (Foam, Water, Dry Chemical Powder, Carbon Dioxide and Wet Chemical), Fire Hose Reels, and Fire Blankets, the method of operation of portable Fire-Fighting Equipment, the ability to identify fire hazards in the workplace, preparing for workplace fire, housekeeping techniques to reduce the risk of fire, first attack fire response procedures, safe working practices and a written and practical assessment are elements all part of the training.

Fire Sprinkler Systems

Depending on the specifications and system layout, Fire Sprinkler Systems generally require maintenance on a monthly basis in accordance with Australian Standard AS1851.

All systems maintained are logged in log books which are securely kept onsite and electronic copy. Log books outline relevant information including service completed and defects. This is provided to all clients as part of our service.

HECS FIRE can also conduct major system service, sprinkler head testing and flow testing.

Fire Doors

Fire Doors are required to be maintained on a six monthly basis in accordance with Australian Standard AS1851. All Fire Doors maintained are logged in log books which are securely kept onsite which outline relevant information including service completed and defects. This is provided to all clients as part of our service.

Lay Flat Fire Hoses

HECS FIRE has a range of Lay Flat Fire Hoses which can be purchased and maintained on accordance with relevant Australian Standards AS1851.

Vessel Safety Equipment

In accordance the relevant Standards and vessel requirements, HECS FIRE can provide maintenance of all Fire Equipment on vessels.
